I cannot tell what the ingredients are in that flake food but It's not pure spirulina. Looks like only 40%. I know when I feed mine 100% pure spirulina it's completely eaten in 20 minutes. The powder floats on top. Very clean won't pollute the water. An once you have it going you can completely stop. This is my way that I've decided to do. Water stays clear other than the film that forms at the top of the water. Some of my tanks had air but I have since removed the air. It can be nice to have a clean tank. I love the bright green algae growing in there. Really not a fan of the macroalgae.

I use Shrimplabs spirulina and is 100% too, you can buy this type of feed from most health food stores so long as its food grade 100% spirulina. I just use a shrimp food variant because it was cheap and lasts for ever lol.

they used to love what i fed them and finished the spirulina in awhile, but now they hardly fight over the spirulina after its dropped into the tank.

Because your tank has other food that are more delicious then spirulina i guess.

If the food isn’t eaten and you don’t have a lot of algae and plants then you are just going to increase Nitrates if your tank is cycled.
