In the half gallon I think maybe 20? Can't remember what I started with. In the quart there's probably at least 50+ but I may only see 15-20 out at a time.

So you have more in the smaller jar.

There's more in the quart jar due to breeding. I think the quart is almost 2 years vs. half gallon at maybe a year at most.

It's not easy for me to get pics of the babies but the jars are doing well. Jars do get direct sunlight for maybe 6hrs a day. Temps aren't too hot inside the house. On hot days when the house is warm I move the jars out of the sunlight. Babies have been going strong for the last 3 months or so of the year.

Looks great, How many batches have you had so far in this?

@odin
It's hard to say. Maybe 3-4 so far this summer in the quart jar. There should be quite a few in there by now. Wish I could take it apart & count.

The half gallon has not had free swimming babies yet. I saw a berried female a couple months back but she must have dropped her eggs. I see dark saddles. I check the jars every other day for a quick look.
