Oh wells, too late for me now. Have already added sand and coral. Would be hard to scoop them aside to place the filter.

Honestly they are not needed, feels strange but it’s true.

Yeah, definitely be very careful about moving anything around with opae ula moving about - I once had to move some crushed coral around and I'm sure it ended up crushing some of my opies . They love exploring the tunnels formed by the stacking crushed coral...
