Awesome snail! Be prepared for the snail poop but that's all part of the fun with snails my Opae ulas pick it up and eat at it

The snail is still in the same position. Hopefully it moves overnight.

Looks like it has moved and turned over on its back. I used a stirring rod to turn it around again.

Good move, sometimes they cannot correct them selfs.

Looks like it did not move overnight. How active are nerites usually?

Mine do sit and dont move for a good several hours but when i first introduced them to brackish water from fresh (when i purchased them) they didnt move for half a day or so.If your snail doesn't move in a day or 2 I would think it died. If you want to be sure put it back in fresh water and see if it moves again.

Looks like it did not move last night either. I will give it until this evening before I move it back to freshwater.

Out of the 12 Nerites i purchased 2 died when they went into brackish water, so dont feel bad as some just dont make it.

Unfortunately the snail did not move last night either. Removed it from the tank today and it was definitely dead. Will probably try again further down the line. Right now the algae problem isn't as bad as it was before anyway.
