Good:
Main tank now has 5 little babies floating around, yay!

Bad:
New tiny tank cycling with some chaeto from main tank and chaeto has disintegrated *facepalm* I'm an idiot, should've tested with just a strand rather than the sizeable baby's fistful. Bah what a waste!

Options now are a) add RO water to dilute and put another strand of chaeto to test or b) restart with new water.

What do you guys think? I mixed the existing batch following the ratio I did for main tank but somehow this tank has way higher salinity, it's at 1.016 compared to 1.013 in main tank.

I'd just dilute the water a little, take out a cup full and replace with RO.
