Thanks, the small piece of lava are sold for barbeque,the big bits I found on a walk which I drilled and carved

Is this algae a good sign post cycle ?

Absolutely, a couple of my tanks were completely covered from top to bottom on the glass which I just scraped off and let it sink to the bottom when I was going to put my shrimp in. Keep us all posted
